C. Richard Genovese, of Greenacres, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1948 in Red Bank, NJ.

He attended Christian Brothers Academy in New Jersey. and graduated from Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Rick proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, where he worked as a computer engineer. His final duty station was Patrick Air Force Base. His service and technical expertise were a source of pride throughout his life.

Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Rick came from a long line of hardworking business owners who owned and operated several businesses, including Gordon's Corner package and Liquor in Freehold, NJ and Andromeda Photo gift world in Boynton Beach FL to name a few. That entrepreneurial spirit shaped his strong work ethic, problem-solving mind, and independent nature. He had been a member of the Robert Sharon Chorale, singing in his community and traveled to Europe with the group.

He was the beloved son of John and Judy Genovese, who preceded him in death, along with his brothers, Peter Genovese and John Joseph Genovese Jr.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Kim Genovese, and his mother-in-law, Joyce Perez. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Audrey Borden; son-in-law, Allen Borden; daughter, Leslie Genovese Ainslie; and son-in-law, Adam Ainslie. He was a proud and loving grandfather to his granddaughters, Evelyn Borden Toledo and Erica Borden, and his grandsons, Austin Hunter and Aiden Ainslie. He was also a caring uncle to his niece, Erin Guy, and his nephew, Matthew Perez.

Richard's life was rooted in faith, love, and service. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family and country, but also for his quick wit, perfectly timed one-liners, and the dad jokes that never failed to make those around him smile—whether they wanted to or not.

Those who knew him take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before him.
