Dave Feldman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, war hero, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 99.

Born in 1925, Dave's life was marked by courage, resilience, and unwavering devotion to his family and country. A proud veteran of World War II, Dave served with distinction in the Pacific theater, where he earned the Purple Heart for his bravery. His plane was shot down during combat operations, but Dave's indomitable spirit saw him through a grueling recovery.

Upon returning home, Dave embarked on a new chapter in his life, marrying his sweetheart, Helen. The couple settled in Flushing, New York, where they built a loving home with their daughters, Lois and Amy.

Throughout his life, Dave was known for his kindness, wisdom, and the strength he demonstrated in overcoming adversity. His experiences during the war shaped him into a man of great compassion and resilience, traits he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Dave was a wonderful grandfather to his four grandchildren: Rachel, Ricky, Royce, and Randi. His dedication to them will live on for a new generation and generations to come. He took great joy in sharing his life experiences, values, and love with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and imparting invaluable life lessons.

One of Dave's most endearing qualities was his wonderful sense of humor. He had a knack for making people smile and laugh, even in the most challenging times. Known as a bit of a prankster, Dave's playful spirit brought joy to those around him. He was always someone you could talk to, offering a listening ear and a comforting word, often accompanied by a joke or witty remark that would lift your spirits.

An avid sports fan, Dave enjoyed cheering for his beloved New York Giants and Mets. He took great pleasure in sharing these experiences with his family, creating cherished memories of game days spent together. Dave's passion for creating and sharing experiences extended beyond sports, as he constantly sought ways to try and bring his family together to create lasting memories.

For the last 20 years of his life, Dave embraced the warmth and sunshine of South Florida. He and Helen retired to the area, where Dave enjoyed staying tan and relaxing in the pleasant climate. This new chapter allowed him to spend even more quality time with his beloved wife, daughters, and grandchildren, creating a wealth of happy memories in their sun-soaked retirement paradise.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Lois and Amy and her husband Wayne, and his four grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of their wonderful father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen.

A funeral service to celebrate Dave's remarkable life will be held on Monday, January 13, at 12 o'clock at the Rubin Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charity in Dave's honor.

Dave Feldman's life was a testament to the greatest generation, and his legacy of love, sacrifice, perseverance, and humor will continue to inspire all who knew him. His dedication to his family, his country, and his ability to bring laughter and joy to others will live on through the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warm smile, his infectious laugh, and his unwavering love for his family.
