Doris Levenson, beloved and loving "mommy", Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on December 7 after a short and valiant battle with Covid-19. Doris was well traveled, courageous and creative with an incredible sense of style. She persevered in all of her undertakings with a sense of determination that was admired by all. A depression era child with humble beginnings, Doris raised four children, all successful in their own right and each processing her contagious love of life. As a caregiver to her husband Phil, who predeceased her, she was incomparable.

"I believe in rainbows…everyone has a rainbow; you have to feel it because it really is a state of mind. Sometimes it eludes you; sometimes it is hidden behind a dark cloud and sometimes it is glorious in color and meaning."

Doris wrote this as a prelude to the beginnings of her memoir. She felt the rainbows, they never eluded her, she found them, and she lived them. She saw and felt the vibrant colors and made them part of her life.

Her funeral services will be held on January 3, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., at Rubin Memorial Chapel, 7340 West Boynton Beach, FL 33437 with burial alongside her cherished Phil, at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.

Shiva will be observed at the home of her loving daughter, Rhona Levenson, at 2600 Fiore Way, Apt. 115 in Delray Beach, immediately following the funeral.
