Henry Millman Obituary

On Monday, November 14, 2022, Henry Millman, a beloved husband, father and friend to anyone he met, passed away.  He was 83. The son of Gertrude and Charles Millman in Saratoga Springs, New York, Henry was a twin born prematurely. While Henry's twin unfortunately died, Henry  survived months in the premature unit of the hospital. Legend has it he was considered a medical miracle of his time and was written about in the medical books for beating the odds.  Henry grew up in Saratoga Springs.  He entered  the Army and also served in the Army Reserves. Henry graduated from Paul Smith College and the University of Denver with a degree in Hotel and Business Administration.

Henry moved to Brockton, Massachusetts for work and spent the early years of his career in food service and convenience store management, and even had his own catering company for a short time. Specializing in food, he became a snack foods distributor with a business called Snack "N" Things,  and worked with small businesses and convenience stores across Massachusetts. He was an early distributor of such lines as Snapple, Smart Foods and Stacy's Pita Chips before they became national sensations. He had a knack for finding food companies before they exploded on the national scene and loved attending food shows.

Henry was known for being a very friendly person who could engage anyone and everyone in conversation. He loved to talk sports and politics.  He also loved food and loved to eat.  You could often find Henry by his grill cooking up a barbecue. He never missed a chance to enjoy a dinner with Maine lobster.   One of his later passions became dogs, who loved him and were loyal companions and gave him hours of pleasure. If you shared a meal with Henry, you learned very quickly to save some of your meal for the dogs who he felt needed to share all the good stuff you were eating.

Henry is survived by his wife Ronni, son Cary, daughter Beth, and sister Judy Long, along with nieces and nephews.   The funeral will be held at Rubin Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10 am EST and will also be streamed online. Internment is at Royal Palms Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Henry's memory to the:
