Jerome "Jerry" Birke, 89, of Bronx, New York, son of Abraham and Sarah Birkenholtz, passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2024. Jerry served in the Army for two years as a private first class before being honorably discharged. He was heavily involved in many capacities with the JFK Boys and Girls Club of Yonkers, NY. He was a well-respected salesman and business owner. Jerry was an avid sports lover and season ticket holder of the Miami Dolphins, New York Yankees, and Florida Panthers. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Birke, his children and their spouses, Lisa and Michael Joao and Stuart and Nancy Birke, grandchildren Fallon and Jillian Birke, and grandson-in-law, Devin Rogers.

Services will be held May 3rd, 2024, at Rubin Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach, Florida from 2-3 pm.

Jerry lived his life by the quote, "Nobody will ever remember how much money you had, how many houses, cars, or toys you owned, but they will always remember if you made a difference in the life of a child." He certainly achieved that and will be greatly missed.
