Leon Mark Magill, 91, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on October 27, 2023. He was born
on March 7, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York. Leon was a kind, caring, and friendly individual who
was always there to lend a helping hand. He was known for his sincere nature and his studious
approach to life. Leon was a devoted family man in all aspects of his life.

Leon is predeceased by his parents Murray and Dora Magill, his in-laws Joseph and May
Dragoon, and his great-niece Senesh Magill. Leon is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Magill
of 63 years, and their children Melanie Magill of Boynton Beach, FL, and Jonathan Magill and
his wife Amanda Magill of Ormond Beach, FL. He was a proud grandfather to Brittany Magill
and a great-grandfather to Sarah Magill, both of Boca Raton, FL. Leon is survived by his
brother Edward Magill and his wife Goldah Magill of Brooklyn, New York, as well as his brother
in-law Harvey and sister-in-law Susan Dragoon of Peabody, Massachusetts. He is also
survived by many nieces and nephews; Daniel Magill and his wife Anne-Maureen of Brooklyn,
New York, Yael Lieberman and her husband Larry of Manhattan, New York, Jordan Magill and
his wife Kari of Silver Springs, Maryland, Gayle Krivelow of Stoughton, Massachusetts, and
Keith Dragoon and his wife Monica of Beverly Hills, California. He will be fondly remembered
by his great nieces, nephews, and countless cousins.

Leon's educational journey began at Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York. He then
pursued higher education at Brooklyn College, where he was a cheerleader. In 1959, he
graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Leon went on to complete his master's degree in engineering at Columbia University, where he
also served as a teaching assistant.

In 1952, Leon enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an aircraft electrician until his honorable
discharge in 1955. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career with
Grumman Aircraft, now known as Northrop Grumman Corporation. Leon dedicated over 30
years of his life to the company, working in both New York and California.

Outside of his professional life, Leon had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He was a
former Boy Scout and completed a first aid course with the American Red Cross during his
high school years. For over 50 years, Leon was a proud member of the Knights of Pythias,
holding the title of Chancellor Commander of the Queensborough Lodge at one point. He was
also a member of the Playboy Club, where he enjoyed socializing with friends and even
obtained the infamous metal key. He traveled Europe with his wife Marlene, and shared that
love of travel with his children visiting spots across the United States, especially the National
Parks. Leon had a passion for skiing and often took his family to Mt. Snow. He coached his
sons' baseball and soccer teams in the 70s and 80s. Leon was an avid reader and music
enthusiast. He found joy in building model cars and airplanes. For over 20 years, he cherished
attending Oklahoma Sooner watch parties in South Florida. He also enjoyed watching the NY
Mets, the NY Giants, and the NY Rangers with his wife and children.

Funeral services for Leon Magill will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11 am at Rubin
Memorial Chapel, located at 7340 Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, Florida, 33437.

Interment will follow at South Florida Jewish Cemetery, located at 6801 S. Congress Ave, Lake
Worth, Florida, 33462.

Shiva to be held at the above residence from Wednesday, November 1st to Thursday,
November 2nd from 12-4 pm or 7-9pm, Friday November 3rd from 12-4 pm or Saturday
November 4th from 7-9pm.

Hospice, who provided compassionate care to Leon and his family during this difficult time.
