Leonard Primack
April 16, 1936 – March 30, 2026
Leonard "Lenny" Primack, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 30, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on April 16, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, Lenny was the son of Victor Primack and Jenny (Dereczensky) Primack. He was predeceased by his brothers, Meyer and Jack Primack.

Lenny was raised in Brooklyn and went on to earn his degree from the City College of New York and later his MBA from New York University. He was a man who took pride in his education and the opportunities it provided.

A patriot in every sense, Lenny proudly served in the United States Army, earning recognition as a marksman before receiving an honorable discharge in 1960. His military service was something he carried with him and looked back on with pride.

It was at a singles weekend at the legendary Grossinger's Resort in the Catskills that Lenny met the love of his life, Sandra (Lowell) Primack of Bayside, Queens. Ever practical with a romantic's heart, Lenny famously declared during his proposal, "You have to marry me — I can't keep traveling from Brooklyn to Bayside!" Three months later, they were married, and the two built a beautiful life together.

Lenny launched his professional career as a stockbroker at Lazard Frères on Wall Street, before transitioning into commercial and industrial real estate on Long Island.

Among his greatest passions was history, and Lenny could recall the dates and outcomes of military battles and campaigns that most people had long forgotten. The History Channel was a constant companion, and he loved nothing more than drawing others into a conversation about the past.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy; his sons Jonathan (Pam) and Adam (Keri); and his four cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Ian, and Blake.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11th at 9:00am at the South Florida National Cemetery (Lane #1) 6501 S. State Road 7
