Mary Kathryn "Kathy" McQuarrie passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 73 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Born in Denver Colorado, she moved to Pueblo Colorado at a young age and considered Pueblo her hometown. As a child, she struggled to overcome physical disabilities with a strong personality and a feisty character. She was not afraid to stand up for herself, and once even threw a pie into the face of a rude little boy. That little boy would later become her husband, Bruce Edward McQuarrie. They started their adventurous 52 years of marriage in the middle of a blizzard on January 2, 1971 and shared a loving life together that took them to six states and nine cities.

She was the adoring mother of three: Jamie McQuarrie (Brook McQuarrie (deceased)), Heather Colvin (David Colvin) and Michael McQuarrie (Michelle McQuarrie). She had eight wonderful grandchildren: Seth (Melissa), Kenny (Mackenzie), Sheila, Raven (Al), Paul, Keagan, Meghan and Quinn, as well as two great-grandchildren Ellieana and Lincoln. She was a caring big sister to David Davis and Joel Davis (deceased) (Debra) and sister-in-law to Marianna (Jim) and Frank (deceased). She loved to hear about her nieces and nephews (Tammy, Tim, Tom, Virginia, Heidi, Zachariah and Brianna), their children and their grandchildren. As they traveled, she developed a strong and loving found family and became "Nini" to the Berris family (Ellen, Herschel, Matthew and Rebecca). She was a caring friend, mentor and confidant to those fortunate to cross her path.

Kathy was fiercely protective of her family and friends. She supported her husband when he made a career change at 60 and went back to earn a master's degree in education. She loved and supported the ups and downs of her "Odd" oldest child. She had an unwavering belief that her daughter could be anything with hard work and "smarts." She never gave up on her youngest child and was proud of his dedication and hard work to become a successful respiratory therapist.

Kathy loved to sing as a child and sang folk music in coffee shops as a young adult in the late '60. She had a lifelong love of music which included her children doing their Saturday chores listening to operas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Young Singers of the Palm Beaches[CH[1] .
