Michael Schless, 85, a retired attorney who was in private practice in Newington for many years, died on December 17 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Michael is survived by his wife Ricki, sons, Scott, David and his wife Susan, Robert, four grandchildren, Amanda, Sydney, Ethan, and MacKenzie, his brother Jack, his wife Beth, and their children, Ellen Burstein, her husband Allen, and Gary Schless, his wife Laura, and their families.

Michael was very active in his community, serving several terms on Newington's Board of Education and Planning and Zoning Commission.  He was a member of Indian Hills Country Club, Temple Sinai, and B'Nai Shalom.  A graduate of UCONN and UCONN Law School, Michael was an enthusiastic supporter and fan of UCONN athletics, the New York Yankees, and New York Giants.

Michael was buried at the South Florida Jewish Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on December 19.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lustgarden Foundation for pancreatic cancer research, Jimmy V. Foundation, Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
