Minnie Abravanel

Minnie Abravanel, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on September 14th 2026 at the age of 97.

Born in New York City in 1929, Minnie lived a loving life spanning nearly a century. She spent much of her early years in Brooklyn, NY before marrying her husband, Louis, and relocating to Long Island in the early 1960’s where they raised three children. Minnie and Louis transitioned to Delray Beach, Florida in the mid 1980’s. After Louis passed, Minnie moved to Maryland in 2024 to be closer to her family.

Minnie was devoted to her family and took great pride in her three children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Minnie is survived by her sons: Howard and Neal (Linda); daughter: Betty (William); grandchildren: Eric, Alexandra, Michael (Nikki), Adam (Jill), Jaclyn (Dan); and her great-grandchildren: Abby, Ryan, Mitchell, Zoe, Dylan, Grant, Ben and Mia. She is also survived by her brother, Louis (Esther)and sister-in-law Barbara (Al)
