Robert E Gehr of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on March 14. Bob, or Bobby to family, was born in the Bronx, New York on May 7, 1939, and moved to Maplewood, New Jersey in his teens. A graduate of NYU, Bob had a long career as a CPA. He is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Daryl, who left us all too soon. He is survived by his sister, Judy Shelton and brother-in-law Ted Shelton; daughter Hollie; loving cousins Jacqueline Wolan, Marilyn Katlein and her husband Herman; and nephew Bryan Shelton.

Bob loved bowling, baseball, and tennis and he was a fan and active participant in all three. An accomplished bowler, Bob won awards for achieving a perfect score of 300 in several games. He was both a player and captain of his softball team and an officer of the tennis club. Even when it was hard for him to play tennis, he often came down to the court to coach other tennis club players.

He had a great sense of humor, a heart of gold, and always tried to help others in any way he could. Despite his health issues, he managed to maintain a positive attitude, keep on going, was considered by family, friends and his doctors to be the "Energizer Bunny."

Arrangements are being handled by Rubin Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach. At this time no service will be held, but a memorial/celebration of life may be planned at a later date when gatherings are safe.
