Robert Louis Lazarowitz, 86, of Colonia, NJ and more recently of Coconut Creek, FL, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 7th, 2024.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service at 12:30pm on Tuesday, April 16th, at Rubin Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach. This will be followed by a military presentation at the South Florida National Cemetery in Palm Beach County at 2:00pm. Bob was born in the Bronx, NY to Jack and Sally Lazarowitz. He attended Jamaica High School before shipping off to Germany in 1958 to serve in the US Army as an M.P. His young wife followed him to Germany and two years later gave birth to their firstborn son, Jack. Once back in the United States, Bob's career brought their family to Virginia, where their second son, Mark was born. Soon after Bob and Beverly moved again and settled in Colonia, NJ, where they raised their two sons and resided comfortably for 54 years.

Bob spent most of his professional career in the fashion industry as the Regional Manager for several large retail stores. Starting his New Jersey career at Menlo Park Mall, he became the President of the Merchants Association. Upon his retirement, for ten years he drove a school bus for students with special needs.

Prior to moving to Florida in 2023, Bob served as President and was an active member in the JCC Adult Club of the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County. He enjoyed singing and performing with a chorus group that entertained at various nursing and veteran homes. On his 84th birthday Bob was honored by the Mayor's Office of the Township of Woodbridge with a proclamation for November 5, 2021 to be declared the Robert Lazarowitz Day.

His favorite and most cherished moments were spending time with his family. A highlight of which was a 60th wedding anniversary European cruise with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and family members.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose memory and legacy will live on through his beloved wife of 65 years, Beverly Lazarowitz, and their sons, Jack and Mark Lazarowitz. Also mourning his loss are his daughter-in-law Nancy, his granddaughters, Dayna, Jennifer, and Shannon, as well as, his extended family and friends. The family takes comfort in knowing Bob is now at rest with his sister, Joan Parise, his daughter in-law, Geri Lazarowitz, and his grandson, Paul Lazarowitz.
