Obituary

Cooper, Rosalind

August 12, 1931 – February 25, 2022
Rosalind (aka Roz) was born in Brooklyn NY, on August 12, 1931. She married Irwin
Cooper on August 15, 1954. She passed away quietly on February 25, with her husband of
67 years as she took her last breath.

Roz graduated from Lafayette High School in 1949 and directly enrolled at New York
University, School of Education. There she earned a B.S. In Secondary Education with a
major in Biology, graduating in 1953.

She leaves behind two sisters, Janet Fishman and Linda Baumann, two daughters,
Susan Sanders preceded by her husband Ken and Lisa Milich along with Lisa's husband,
Robert. Thanks to their wonderful marriages, Roz's daughters account for nine children to
call her grandmother. They are Brian & his wife Mary Alice; Michael & his wife, Brittany;
Jessica Sanders; Jennifer Milich Celauro & her husband Justin, Samantha & her partner
Katherine. Add to that the five great grandchildren, Cooper, Liev, Cohen, Mary Beth and
Campbell Ann Sanders and you have a crowd.

Just as Roz nurtured her growing family, she was an active participant supporting the
Jewish Congregations she and her husband were members in for over 60 years. During that
time she served on many committees and raised much needed funds. Roz's compassion
extended out to people in need and was an active volunteer at The Resurrection House of
Sarasota for over 6 years.

Roz's legacy will outlive her, she will be greatly missed.
