OBITUARY

Sol Michael Wald passed away on October 12, 2022, at age eighty-five. He was the devoted father of David (Joyce), Carl (Tara), Jonathan (Lesli), and Veronica from his former wife, Maxine Wald and their grandchildren Ashley, Andrew, Brody, Chase, and Dylan. Born to Herman and Ella, Sol was the beloved husband of Brenda Dressler for eleven years and his stepson Joshua Kaufman (Ashley).

Sol Wald was a dentist and valedictorian of his class of 1972. Later, he became an orthodontist. He was a veteran, a NASCAR driver, and won a silver medal at the winter Olympics for target shooting. Friends from dental school recall how Sol helped everyone. His notes were copied each day for 65 fellow students, paying only 10-cent for copying. When our synagogue had financial difficulties and asked for help, Sol stepped up and resolved the problem. He helped everyone emotionally as well as financially if needed.

Services will begin at 12:30pm on November 1, 2022, at the Rubin Memorial Chapel at 7340 Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437. The burial service begins at 2:00pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 .
